The Frankish leader that I have chosen is Pepin III. Pepin III was initially a Merovingian Mayor of the Palace, but he began the Carolingian bloodline when he claimed himself to be king of the Franks. This was viewed as well and just because the pope agreed with the decision. Pepin III helped defeat the Lombards in Italy and after winning gave land to the pope. Pepin III reminds me of Daniel Radcliffe quite simply because both are small and at times seem ornery and pugnacious. Both Daniel Radcliffe and Pepin III are marked with a stature of less than five and one half feet; they both make up with this in their power (politically or through people and money). They are also similar for each decided to change their occupation in a sense. Pepin was never naturally king; he claimed himself as king after being Mayor of the Palace. In the same way, Daniel Radcliffe decided that he would not let his past (the Harry Potter series) haunt him. He shall move on to bigger and better things, theoretically. The final similarity is that neither seems to care what others thought/think of him. For example, Pepin III did not ask the permission of the pope before declaring himself king, and Daniel Radcliffe is an open atheist.

The Frankish leader I'm writing about is Louis the first, or "The Pious". Louis ruled from AD814-840 and was a Carolingian. He was the king of the Frank and was crowned emperor but wasn't truly an emperor, his father, Charlemagne, was the only true holy emperor. Louis the first reminds me of Katy Perry for several reasons. One of which is because Louis the first was a weak and terrible leader, and Katy Perry, in my opinion. is an awful singer. Louis also reminds me of Katy Perry because he wears a crown marking him an emperor even though is isn't truly an emperor; like how Katy Perry sings into a microphone even though she isn't truly good; especially live. Louis the first also reminds me of Katy Perry because he is called "The Pious", like how Katy Perry is called "KP".

The Frankish king I have chosen is Pepin the third, crowned by the pope. He was mayor of the palace and king of the franks. The pope asked him to defeat the Lombards and the gained land was given to the pope and titled the papal states. Pepin the short is like Bill Gates in a sense. Both have given back to society, Gates giving to charity and Pepin giving land to the pope. Both also achieved a huge role in society such as richest man or gaining 2 huge titles. Lastly both men gained power through the support of higher powers that helped them rise to where they are now.

The Frankish leader Charlemagne was alot like Tim Tebow. He was a deeply religious leader just like tebow was a very religious team leader. They were also a like in the sense that Charlemagne did conquer many areas of land including the lam bards, the saxons, and the avars but could not capture all of muslim spain, just like tim had a pretty good playoff run with the broncos but could not find a way to win the super bowl. To add just like Charlemagne united much of Europe Tim Tebow united many NFL fans because he was hard to dislike.

In my opinion Alfred the Great was like Bill Gates. Not only were they both educators, but both had warrior senses as well. Alfred the Great had built effective ships that took part in his strong military, just like Bill Gates had strong supportive co-workers. They both overcame big things, such as when Alfred the Great defeated the Danes and Bill Gates took over the world with technology.

Louis the Pious was carolingian king of the Franks. His father was Charlemagne. Louis the Pious reminds me of Justin Beiber because he was a weak leader and I think Justin Beiber is a weak singer. Also, Louis the Pious was liked even though he was not a good ruler, but because his father was Charlemage. Justin Beiber isn't really loved because he is a good singer. One more thing is that Louis the Pious never really expanded the land and this is like how Justin Beiber is only really big in America.

I think Henry III reminds me of Micheal Jackson. First, Henry III created the parliament and like Henry, Micheal created new memorable moves. Both were very creative. Also during the rule of Henry III 3 people claimed to be the pope and Micheal and his family members would fight who was the main singer. Henry the III was hated and Micheal didn't have a very good reputation either later in his life. Henry the III got overthrown and Micheal died early so both their carriers ended early.

The Frankish leader I chose was Louis The Pious who is the son of Charlemagne. He reminds me of Paris Hilton because like Paris the only reason he is remotely "powerful" or "famous" was because of his father. They both think they are the bom.com but really everyone can't stand them. He was so short and a very weak leader. Since he was so short, he would carry around this staff that was way taller than him, like Paris is always seen with her tiny "yapper" dog.

The Frankish leader I chose was Louis the Pious. He was the son of Charlamange. He was also a very weak ruler. I think Louis the pious is like Nikki Minaj (I'm not even sure if I spelled that right.) The first reason is because Louis the Pious was a bad leader and Nikki Minaj is very possibly the worst artist out there. The second reason is Louis the Pious set a bad role model for his kids and so does Nikki minaj by singing about really stupid stuff. The third reason is the only pictures I've seen are not actually a human just a picture and im pretty sure Nikki minaj isn't a human I'm pretty sure she's just a barbie or something.

The Frankish leader i chose was Charlemagne, he was the one true Holy roman Emperor, and he gained many territories for his people. I think he is like Bono for three reasons. First they both were always actively working for the people. Second, they were both loved dearly by their followers (fans for Bono). Finally, both men continued to work through difficulties, for what they believed in.

The Frankish king Pepin III aka Pepin the short reminds me of Cee Lo Green. Just like Pepin, Cee Lo is literaly short. Cee Lo was the black sheep in his family because unlike anyone in his family he chose to become a rapper, just like how Pepin became Carolingian. Finally Cee Lo also sings for his church just like how Pepin did favor for the Pope.

Clovis was a Merovingian king of the Franks from 481-511. He is like Simon Cowell because he controlled most of Gaul just like how Cowell dominated television for many years. Clovis became a Christian after winning a battle as a sort of favor to his wife. However, he obviously missed the point of Christianity when he used a sword to persuade 3000 soldiers to convert as well. Simon Cowell is also a Christian who obviously misses the point of the religion when he mercilessly tears apart the hopes and dreams of singers nationwide. It was Clovis' moral duty to convert others, but not that way. It was also Cowell's job to criticize, but not so harshly. Clovis was said to be brutal as well, just as Simon Cowell is. Cowell even goes beyond his call to criticize talent, criticizing looks and appearance. All in all, both Clovis and Simon Cowell were terrible people who accomplished a few good things.

The Frankish leader I have chosen to write about is Pepin III (The Short). Pepin The Short reminds me of Snooki in at least three ways. First of all, Pepin and Snooki are both very short. Another reason they are alike is Pepin III started the Carolingian dynasty just like Snooki started her own show. Finally Pepin III and Snooki are alike because Pepin III was "king by the grace of god" and Snooki may be as important as a Queen to some people. (Definitely not me!)

Charlemagne, who ruled from 768-814, was a Carolingian. He had been a great ruler, expanding the Frankish Empire to the largest it had been for its time. Charlemagne is very much like Bill Gates in my opinion. They were both loved by the people for their achievements; Charlemagne had restored unity in the empire, Bill Gates had created Microsoft. Charlemagne had encouraged education by building schools, Bill Gates had created a foundation called the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation whoose purpose was to end poverty and give education to the poor. And as Charlemagne had conquered the land of the Lombards and Saxons, Bill Gates had conquered the world of computers by creating Microsoft Windows.

The Frankish leader that I have chosen is Pepin III. He started as a Merovingian Mayor of the Palace, but then began the Carolingian dynasty. King Pepin III reminds me of Sean Connery as because, like Pepin, Connery started a "dynasty" of his own by being the first person to star as James Bond. Also, after Connery retired as Bond, he began a line of successions for the next 007. This is similar to how Pepin III set up his own line of Carolingian successors. A final example of how Pepin III and Sean Connery are similar to one another is that, like the Pope asking Pepin to defeat the Lombards, the producers of the movie Connery was in asked him to help in the auditioning process to find a new Bond, making Sean's ties with the producers even closer.

The Frankish leader i am writing about is Louis I. Louis was the song of the great Charlemagne the previous king of the franks and the "Holy Roman Empire." He was crowned emperor but never really was a true emperor and he was a very weak leader. Louis I reminds me Of Miley Cyrus for a few reasons. One reason is that she is the daughter of Billy Ray Cyrus who was famous for his talent the Miley used to ride to "fame." Also She has won awards for acting but i feel never really earned them thinking she is a Queen of the media world when she really has not effect on it. She also reminds me of Louis because I really like how Louis is a weak leader, Miley is a weak role model.

The Frankish leaders that I have decided to write about are Lothair I, Louis the German, and Charles the Bald. These three kings were all brothers that eventually had to divide the kingdom among each other. These three kings remind me of the Kardashian sisters for a number of reasons. One is because the three kings were awful rulers, just as the Kardashians are awful at their "job". Another reason is because the brothers have had to share territory, which is like how the Kardashians have to share fame with each other. One final reason is that both groups of siblings have had a famous and respectable father. The kings' father was Louis the Pious, while the Kardashian sisters' father was Robert Kardashian, who was an achieving lawyer.

The two people I think are quite alike are Charlemagne and Mrs Stonebraker (she's a school celebrity, that counts right??)Charlemagne ruled his kingdom just like Mrs. Stonebraker rules her classroom. He taxed his unwilling people just like she assigns homework to her unwilling pupils. He improved education across Europe just like she improves Cary-Groves' education. Also, he named many of his children after historical people and kings just as she named her children after historical figures.

I think that Louis the Pious was like Rebecca Black. Just as he was not a very skillful leader she was not a very good singer. Also Louis was disliked as he was not nearly as successful as his father. Similarly, Rebecca Black was disliked by many people.

The Frankish king Pepin III, or Pepin the Short, reminds me of Jason Acuna, also known as Wee-Man. Pepin was a Mayor of the Palace who then continued to claim the crown for himself and established the Carolingian kings. Much like Pepin, Jason is diminutively short, though not as short as Pepin was. Additionally, Pepin was like Jason because he actually received an education unlike many people at the time, including kings. Finally, both are willing to take risks, as Jason is a professional skater and stuntman, and Pepin was willing to take risks and expand his land by conducting several military campaigns against neighboring countries.
