In ancient Egypt, they had a system of written language.
They used different symbols and pictures, muck like we use letters, except they didn't use vowles. This is directlty related to the "written language"characteristic of civilization.

A characteristic of civilization for ancient Egypt is mummification. mummification is part of bureaucratic government because only a pharaoh who is the highest up in government gets to be a mummy.

The Pyramids of Egypt are one of the greatest architectural feats of their time. They relate to the five characteristics of civilization because of the vast division of labor involved. Pheasants, slaves, and government paid workers all helped to build the great structures. Not to mention, the engineers that worked so hard to design the pyramids to not collapse. Without the division of labor, the pyramids may not exist. Jack B.

In Ancient Egypt the Nile river was used to create a "lunar calendar", one of the five characteristics of Civilization. The Egyptians divided this calendar into three different seasons. Each of these seasons were devised from the time in which they could plant, harvest crops, and off of the annual flooding of the Nile.

A characteristic of civilization is ability to produce surplus crops. Irrigation systems allowed for farmers to produce 2-3 crops a year, making it easier to feed more people.

In Ancient Egypt, There would be the lower class who would be farmers and slaves who would provide crops and/ or buildings and statues for the upper class which were the pharaohs, and religious leaders. This relates to the five characters of civilization because there were social classes present at that time.

In ancient Egypt there were farmers growing crops all up and down the Nile. This is an example of the division of labor because one farmer couldn't produce enough crops for the entire empire, even if he wanted to.

In Ancient Egypt, Geography was main factor in why the Egyptians thrived. Geography was key because the land around the fertile area was blocked by natural objects, making it hard for invaders to easily approach Egypt and attack. Geography is one of the six elements of culture.

In Ancient Egypt there were social classes. At the top of the social class pyramid was the king or "pharaoh", than there was the nobles and priests, merchants, peasants/farmers, and lastly the slaves. Each class had to do its part in the empire in order for the empire to flourish.
