Compare a Frankish king or mayor of the palace to a modern day celebrity! Then please explain how that Frankish leader reminds you of a person that everyone knows today. In order to get EXTRA CREDIT YOU MUST:
1) Identify and DESCRIBE one of the Frankish leaders (at least 2 sentences)
2) Compare him to a modern day celebrity that we all know
3) Provide THREE reasons why your Frankish leader is like that modern day celebrity! (at least 2 sentences)
4) Make sure that you sign off using your first name and first initial of your last name ONLY!
5) Make sure that NO ONE ELSE has written about your topic already! (Everyone has to write about a different topic to get the points!)

Charles Martel, he stopped the Spanish from advancing into France. This earned him the name the "Hammer." He reminds me of the Dwayne Johnson. He has a nickname that involves being superior, the "Rock." In the movie the "Rock" he stops the drug lord in the end, just like Charles Martel. Also, they both have ancestry in France.

Charles Martel is like Duncan Keith because he stopped the Spanish from taking France just like Duncan Keith stops opposing teams from taking shots.

Clovis was a Merovingian King of the Franks. He conquered all of northern Gaul and converted to Christianity. There are three similarities between this Frankish king and Bob Marley. The two both converted to Christianity. Bob was the first big reggae superstar and Clovis was the first King of the Franks to unite the Frankish tribes under one ruler. Bob controlled the reggae industry just as Clovis controlled the majority of Gaul.

Clovis was a brutal and cruel Merovingian King who ruled the Franks. He converted to Christianity as well as forced his 3,000 soldiers as well, and he conquered all of northern Gaul. He also had all of his bloodline killed so no one would take over after his death. Clovis and Miley Cyrus have three strange connections. They both changed a lot; Clovis with his spiritual conversion and Miley with her new punk appearance. Just as Clovis conquered all of northern Gaul, Miley seems to be taking over an entirely new and more mature crowd. Also, similar to the way Clovis was so cruel in killing his bloodline, one could say Miley was a bit "cruel" in letting go of the younger crowd she gained on Disney that so long admired her.

Charlemagne was part of the Carolingian family and ruled France from AD 768-814. On 800 Christmas day he declared himself Emperor of the Romans. Charlemagne is similar to the Canadian Olympic hockey team because Charlemagne defeated the Lombards in Italy, Saxons in Germany, Avars in central Europe, and drove the moors out of Pyrenees. Just as Charlemagne, the Canadians defeated the Swedish Team, The american team, and the finish team to win gold.
