I feel that the art from the Renaissance period is very beautiful and expresses the emotion and vision of the painter. They seem to express the beauty of humans and ditties in such a way that seems beyond human.

My favorite piece of art from this website would have to be the statue of Moses by artist Michelangelo Buonarroti. This staue is hand carved and is full of incredible little details. This piece would have to be my favorite so far because of the artists attention to detail, the expression on Moses' face, and how elegant yet powerful it looks.
I feel that the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel is the best piece of art. It is a painting of 300 people in a wine shop. It was placed in the churchbecause wine is the blood of Jesus. It is my favorite piece because it seems very hard to paint that high on a ceiling. Also, i think that the actual art look very cool. And Finally that i like the artist Michelangelo work.

My favorite piece of art would still have to be the Mona Lisa. Its smile is a hidden secret that people are trying to find out of this hand painted picture. This is my favorite so far because of the following eyes, the imagery in the background, and showing how ladies may have dressed back in the day
The Creation of Adam
Michelangelo
This painting depicted on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel show incredibly detailed pictures of things you can't physically see. It also shoes God letting Adam go onto the new planet Earth. This painting is sop significant not only because it's located on the Sistine Chapel, but offers multiple interpretations such as this is god sending the first human to earth. I also like this painting because it offers extreme details for its time

Chris K,
My favorite peace it the Sistine Chapel. The Sistine Chapel was done by Michelangelo. It is in Saint Peters Cathedral in Rome. He made fun of a Cardinal in the painting.
1.I like it becasue this masterpiece was onthe ceiling, imagine painting a masterpiece by itself, then imagine it on a ceiling.
2. I like that he mocked a cardinal in the painting, he had a sense of Humor
3.Its known around the world, and that is cool to have one of the most famous paintings
My favorite piece of art is definitely the Mona Lisa, painted by Leonardo da Vinci. I love in this piece how mysterious her smile is, the way he shows so much emotion through his painting, and the way her eyes follow you up down side to side and everywhere you go around the room. This painting is a portrait of your average everyday woman in the 1500s. She gives a smile that is quite neutral yet mesmerizing, and makes you think..."What is she thinking about? How does she really feel?"

Statue of Moses
Michelangelo
This piece is a sculpture of Moses carved according to a description in the Bible. However, it depicts him with a pair of horns.
This is my favorite piece of art because...
1. It is a sculpture which is probably the most difficult form of art to create.
2. Michelangelo had to translate the Bible to get a good description of Moses, then used the description to carve him into stone.
3. The horns were carved by mistake due to a translation error, saying that Moses was "horned," leading to a humorous but harmless mistake.

My favorite piece of art is without a doubt Michelangelo's "Last Judgement." This is because not only was it a beautiful painting depicting corruption etc., but he totally dissed Cardinal Biagio de Cecena(who was critical on his work in the sistene Chapel} since it featured the Cardinal as one of the damned in the painting. And in the words of Tow Mater, " Now that there is Funny."

My favorite piece of artwork would have to be the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel made by Michelangelo. It is amazing that he spent so long lying on is back high up just to paint! My favorite part though would have to be the fact that he added Cardinal Biagio de Cesena in after he criticized him for his work. Also the fact he was able to put much of the book of Genesis on one ceiling is pretty remarkable

My favorite piece of art would have to be the statue of Moses created by Michelangelo Buonarroti. This statue seems to be very large. It also is very descriptive about how the artist portrayed Moses. This is my favorite piece because it appears that the artist put a lot of time in, the artist included everything from the story all the way down to the two tablets, and I like how in depth the whole body is made.

My favorite piece of art from the Renaissance era thus far has to be the Mona Lisa painted by Leonardo Da Vinci. I like this piece of art because Da Vinci seemed to be the favorite artist of the materialistic Renaissance people, the painting is very popular even today being the only piece I had recognized, and just the fact that it is "the best known the most visited, the most written about, the most sung about, the most parodied work of art in the world."
My favorite piece of art from the Renaissance would have to be the Mona Lisa because she has her own little mystery. Everyone believes her smile to means something different, but I think she looks like she has a secret or knows something you don't. The background shows depth and detail if you really focus on it. And also her body looks solid and poised. She doesn't look relaxed and natural and elegant like some paintings. Also it is darker.

My favorite piece of art from the renaissance so far has to be the Mona Lisa because it is very simple. it's a portrait of a woman. I also like the background because it's nice but doesn't over power the famous lady herself. Finally I like that although it is the most recognizable, most famous painting ever it started as one of many HOBBIES of Leonardo da Vinci. He could never have imagined it as what it is today.

Renaissance art has lifelike qualities and depth in the way they studied and embodied perspective into art. It shows life pleasure and beauty captured in an image. My favorite piece of Renaissance art is the Madonna Enthroned by Giotto. I love this one because the depth is remarkable in the way the figures stand out. I love the detail in the throne and even the people's faces. Since the art of the Renaissance built itself around Giotto's style, I respect the painting more. I think the gold-toned colors are warm and beautiful and I love the realistic appearance. Plus, I love the two angels at the bottom.
